Core Description

Responsible for shaping, delivering, and continuously improving the digital workplace ecosystem that enables BCX employees to work effectively, securely, and seamlessly across modern platforms.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

  • Develop and maintain the Digital Workplace strategy, roadmap and operating model aligned to BCX’s transformation agenda and XaaS direction.
  • Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of workplace platforms including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, collaboration tools, device ecosystems and workflow automation capabilities.
  • Drive measurable employee experience uplift by enabling seamless user journeys, intuitive interfaces, intelligent productivity and consistent service standards.
  • Partner with Architecture, Security, Networks and Infrastructure to deliver a coherent, secure and well governed workplace environment aligned to enterprise standards.
  • Oversee digital experience measurement, monitoring and analytics, using performance data and user insights to drive continuous service improvement and productivity gains.
  • Lead cross functional initiatives to modernise end user technology, standardise devices, optimise licensing and enable cloud first ways of working, including automation and GenAI powered assistance.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify workflow transformation opportunities, define user archetypes and experience models, and digitise priority processes.
  • Establish governance forums, workplace standards and decision frameworks, while overseeing vendors, OEMs and service providers to balance experience, security, cost and performance, supported by effective change enablement and adoption practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Three-year degree (NQF 7) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management, Digital Experience, Engineering, or related field.
Postgraduate qualification preferred

Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage

Additional studies in workplace platforms, service design, human-centred design, or employee experience are advantageous.

Experience

  • At least Seven (7) years’ experience in digital workplace, end-user computing, collaboration platforms, or employee experience.
  • Strong background in Microsoft 365 ecosystem management, workplace optimisation, and cloud-enabled work practices preferred.

Certifications

Microsoft 365 certifications advantageous (Modern Desktop Administrator, Teams Administrator, Productivity Solutions Expert).
Agile or project management certifications beneficial.
Certifications in service design, UX, design thinking, or digital experience.
